For older people living in their own homes, the My Medic Watch app can be an extremely important and potentially life-saving tool – alerting and updating nominated carers if the person using the app on their smartwatch has a fall or seizure.
However, My Medic Watch isn’t just for people living in their own homes. It can also be extremely valuable for older people in aged care facilities – whether in an assisted living facility, a nursing home, or even in short-term respite care.
Regardless of the person’s living circumstances, they can enter the details of their nominated carers into their smartphone app – and if they happen to experience a fall or seizure, these carers would be automatically notified and then kept updated regarding when and how assistance is provided. These carers could be nursing staff – if agreed by the facility and the staff member – as well as personal contacts, who can then alert the facility directly if an incident occurs.
For aged care workers, My Medic Watch provides an extra set of ‘eyes’. Carers can’t possibly be with all residents all of the time – no matter how thorough their level of care, and My Medic Watch can therefore offer a vital alert function.
It also provides valuable peace of mind and reassurance for the families and loved ones of people living in aged care. If you want to find out more about My Medic Watch, visit https://www.mymedicwatch.com/ or contact info@mymedicwatch.com .
